Fascinating films that are set to be released in the UK in October Posted On 30 September 2022

There is a re-imaging of a children’s classic and the final instalment of a horror franchise

An evening spent at the cinema is a fantastic way to unwind at the end of a long and stressful week.

Luckily, this October there is a whole plethora of excellent flicks set to be released in cinemas for you to choose from.

We have done the hard work for you and collected a bit of information about a couple of eagerly anticipated and family friendly films that are set to be released in the coming weeks.

So sit back, grab your popcorn and enjoy.

Matilda the Musical

Many people’s childhoods were bettered by either watching or reading about the life of Matilda.

The brilliant young girl’s exploits are set to be reimagined, with a film adaption of a popular musical coming to the big screen on Wednesday, October 5.

Matilda the Musical, featuring Emma Thompson, Stephen Graham and Alisha Weir, tells the story of an extraordinary girl, who has an incredible imagination.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

Another highly anticipated upcoming film is Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.

This is set to be released on Wednesday, October 14 and features Shawn Mendes as the voice of a hilarious crocodile, called Lyle.

This family-friendly flick follows Lyle, who lives in a New York City house and helps the Primm family with everyday chores and plays with the neighbourhood children.

Life is looking good for Lyle, until one neighbour insists that he goes to live in a zoo, so Lyle must prove that he is not as bad, or dangerous, as his species may suggest.

Halloween Ends

Halloween Ends, which will be released in the United Kingdom on Friday, October 14, is set four years after the events of Halloween Kills, which came out in 2021.

This is the latest, and final film in the Halloween series, which is iconic among horror fans.

This film will feature a number of well known names, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Will Patton and Kyle Richards.

So for those heading out to a film screening this Halloween for a fright, few flicks are going to match the horrors that come hand-in-hand with a film from the Halloween series.
